Some QC students got a lesson today in helping others.
Students at Thurgood Marshall cooked a homemade lunch and served it to the homeless at the Christian Family Care Center in Rock Island.
Students from the school prepared and served the food. One student we spoke to say the message learned today, is a simple one.
"What if that was one of us," said Darrion Rhoden, a student at Thurgood Marshall. "And people were walking past us and gave us no food or nothing? What would we be doing?"
The project's coordinator says the project is important to make sure students give back to the community.
