A bizarre investigation in Chicago came to light today, as a shipment of 18 human heads was held up by customs officials at O'Hare Airport.
The heads were sent around Christmas from Italy. They were being returned to a Chicago area cremation service that had sent the heads to Italy for medical research.
A spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office says a paperwork problem held up the shipment.
The containers held at the county morgue and will now be turned over to the cremation service for cremation.
