Fatal Accident in Rock Island County

Rock Island County deputies responded to a single vehicle accident late Monday Night.

It happened in the 16500 bock of 78th Avenue West, just west of Andalusia.

A Toyota pick-up driven by a 65-year-old man from Illinois City lost control and went into the ditch.  The truck rolled and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rock Island County Coroner's office.

The name of the driver is not being released, pending notification of family.

The crash is still under investigation.
