It's the end of an era at the Davenport Public Library.
Lawanda Roudebush has been the library's director for nine years.
Folks from all over the community came by for a party to celebrate her accomplishments, like how she pushed to put various technologies into the libraries.
Roudebush said saying goodbye to her job is going to be tough.
"I have been so overwhelmed with the love that I have found from my community, from all of my friends, from people who have told me they love the library... that means so much to me," said Roudebush.
Lawanda said she plans to travel more with her husband, but is still going to be a part of the Davenport community.
