Local rotary clubs are asking the QCA to join together to honor the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting.
They're holding a vigil Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport.
It's not only to remember the victims of the tragedy, but to send a message to Newtown that they are not alone.
"Really what this is about is a chance for healing and retrospection of what's happened and realizing it could've happened to any of us," says Glenn Kass, Bettendorf Rotary.
The event is free and open to the public. You can make a donation to Newtown's rotary club, which will go toward a special scholarship fund.
