Davenport PD Going High Tech in Accident Investigation

The Davenport Crime Scene Investigation unit is using a high tech laser to piece together the scene of a fatal accident.

Police blocked off a section of Telegraph and Waverly Road Friday afternoon. This is the intersection where 23-year-old Martin Eason was allegedly hit and killed by 46-year-old Dale Varner in September.

The scanner allows the judge and jury in this case to see the accident in a 3-D environment.

Davenport police say they will be the first to introduce the 3-D laser in Iowa courts.
