An 18 month old Illinois baby is home safe, after vanishing for several hours.
It happened around midnight in Bensenville, Illinois. The little girl was left in her car by her mother, while her mom walked into a friend's apartment building.
Seconds later, police say a man that was seen leaving the building, got in the car and sped off.
An Amber Alert was issued. The car and the baby were both found about seven hours later, a mile away.
Cops say they believe the suspect didn't know the baby was in the car when he took it.
