Two people are behind bars after an investigation into a series of burglaries at Dollar General stores throughout our area.
Stephen Sato, and Julie Korotkov, both of Chicago were arrested near Thomson, Illinois on Tuesday.
Police say the two robbed Dollar General stores in Morrison, Fulton, and Port Byron.
The suspects in the robberies would enter the stores and one would distract the employees while the other would steal their wallets from the break room.
The employees' stolen credit cards were used to make purchases in Clinton and possibly in the Quad Cities.
Sato and Korotkov are in the Whiteside County Jail on a $200,000 bond each.
