A union representing hundreds of *Iowa* police officers has agreed on a contract deal with the state.
The State Police Officers Council ratified the tentative 2 year deal on Wednesday.
It calls for an increase in health insurance premiums and gives a 1.5 percent salary increase.
The state is still in negotiations with two other unions: Iowa United Professionals and AFSCME.
