Construction worker shot in the head with a nail gun

A shocking accident for one QCA construction worker today.

The man, who's not being identified, was working on a home in Eldridge when another worker accidentally shot him in the head with a nail gun.

Medics say the injury was so unique; the man had to be transported to the University of Iowa hospitals for special care.

"If the head is injured, the neck may be damaged also. It's good to call on ambulance and taken in and get checked out, just to make sure," says Jerry Williams, Community Relations Manager, MEDIC EMS.

No word yet on the man's condition.
