Kylen Mills joined the CBS4 news team in January 2013, a few weeks after graduating from Lewis University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
At Lewis, Kylen worked at her school's TV station, radio station and newspaper. She was also the only female sports analyst during her time there, broadcasting basketball and volleyball games. One of the highlights of Kylen's college experience was receiving the senior departmental excellence award from the College of Arts and Sciences at Lewis.
As an undergrad Kylen held internships at ABC 7 News Chicago, MTV.com in New York, and most recently WGN-TV. While at WGN, she worked on the Midday News, putting together all the segments throughout the two hour show and assisting reporters in the field.
Growing up near Chicago in Elmhurst, IL, Kylen didn't have to travel far to make the move to the Quad Cities. She's excited to get to know the community and explore everything the QCA has to offer.
When not in the newsroom, Kylen enjoys listening to country music, catching up with her sister Kendra, and watching her favorite sports team, The Chicago Bulls. Kylen also played college soccer and will look for any excuse to get back on the field!
