The man accused of going on a killing spree in Illinois and Missouri in 2008 is trying to get a new trial.
Nicholas Sheley's lawyer has filed a motion asking for a new trial in one of the 8 murders.
Sheley, who's already serving life in prison for killing a Galesburg man, is awaiting sentencing in the bludgeoning death of 93 year old Russell Reed.
Sheley's attorney says there were 89 judicial errors in that case.
The motion will be considered, and Sheley will be sentenced January 16th.
