New IA judge on the bench

Iowa Governor, Terry Branstad, appointed Bellevue's Mark Ray Lawson to Seventh Judicial Circuit Judge on Sunday.

Lawson is currently working in private practice and as magistrate for Jackson County.

He fills the vacancy left by Judge Charles Pelton who recently retired after serving 38 years on the bench.
