A former Davenport alderman accused of threatening his neighbor will have to wait a little longer to find out if his charges will be dismissed.
The 71 year old is charged with assault while displaying a weapon. A judge has taken the motion to dismiss the charge under advisement. No word on when a decision will be made. Meyer is accused of threatening his neighbor with a gun back in November. Meyer served as Davenport's third ward alderman for several terms, but lost his re-election bid in 2007.
