The Galesburg Police Department was advised of an armed robbery that had just
occurred at Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, 235 E. Main Street, Galesburg,
at approximately 8:50 a.m. today.
Initial information indicated a male suspect
entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded
money.
Subsequent investigation by the Galesburg Police
Department led to the arrest of Nathaniel R. McPherrin, 29 years old and
homeless.
McPherrin is being charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and is
currently being held in the Knox County Law Enforcement Center awaiting initial
appearance in court.
