Iowa lawmakers are weighing a plan to remove registered voters if they can't prove their citizenship.
The rule proposed by Secretary of State Matt Schultz was first proposed on an emergency basis before the November election.
But was temporarily blocked by a judge after the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit to block it, saying the rule intimidates voters.
Schultz now wants a permanent rule to be passed by the state legislature.
