Crews in Rock Island are working to find an elusive water main break that is making for some slippery pavement.
The break happened last week but has been steadily getting worse. Water is running out onto 5th Avenue near Augustana College's football stadium.
The city has been putting salt down to slow the build up of ice across 5th Avenue. Crews are using listening devices to locate the break, which is less disruptive than digging up a large section of the street.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution in the area because of the slick conditions and workers on the street.
