Police say 34-year-old Dale Blumer confessed to cooking and selling meth from his home, that's also a daycare center.
Blumer's live-in girlfriend ran "Amanda's Day Care" at 2706 W 60th Street in Davenport.
The raid happened around 1:15 Sunday morning, according to police, they found not only meth and meth making materials but guns and ammunition.
CBS 4 caught up with neighbors who can't believe there was a meth lab next door.
The Voisien family lives right next door and Shane Voisine says he can't believe no one knew what was actually going on behind closed doors.
"I find it odd that it can go on for this long. I see a lot of parents picking up their kids after school and going in and out of the house. I mean I've never been there but their kids play with my kids."
Shane says on Sunday he woke up in the middle of the night to lights and sirens.
"They were talking to the house on the bull horn asking everyone to come out I think they were afraid of the dogs because there are 2 big dogs there."
He and his wife Kathy say they're happy the cops caught it before anything went wrong with the meth lab.
"I'm glad it's over now, that we don't have to put a sign in our yard and get the heck out of here."
Kathy says she knows some parents who send their kids to daycare there, and can't even imagine how they must feel with meth and guns surrounding their children.
"And all those parents who are like well what am I supposed to do with my children now? I'm sure they're more horrified than I am."
Police say that when Blumer was arrested he admitted to making meth just a few hours before the bust.
