A Davenport man is busted, accused of running a meth lab out of a day care center.
Police said the suspect has admitted to the crime. After 34 year old Dale Blumer was arrested, police said he confessed to making and selling meth in the home, which is also a daycare. They said he admitted to making meth there about 20 times in the past couple months.
Blumer's *live–in girlfriend* ran "Amanda's Day Care" at 2706 West 60th Street in an upscale neighborhood of Davenport, located only blocks away from a school.
The raid happened around 1:15 Sunday morning, as members of Davenport's Police Tactical Team swarmed the home. According to police, they found not only meth and meth making materials, but guns and ammunition.
The home is a licensed day care center, but there's no word on whether
children were there when Blumer was taken into custody. We do know authorities have contacted human services.
