Underage Ordinance in Rock Island's District In Effect

If you're under 21 and in the Rock Island District for New Year's Eve, be prepared to go in and buy or get the boot.

That's because a new ordinance passed earlier this month goes into effect December 31st.

Anybody underage caught loitering in and around the area between 12:00 Midnight and 3:00 a.m. could face a fine of between $75 to $500.

The ordinance is meant to help curb underage drinking and illegal activity in The District.
