Illinois politicians are dragging their feet on a deal to solve its biggest crisis in a generation.
The state's pension funds are the most under–funded in the country with a shortfall approaching one hundred billion dollars.
Lawmakers are considering higher retirement ages asking workers to contribute more and switching to 401(k)–style plans.
Lawmakers will meet again next week to try and fix the problem.
