IL Law Cracks Down on Underage Drinking

The state of Illinois has a new years resolution; to crack down on underage drinking.

A new law outlines penalties for adults who host underage drinking parties in their homes.

It will be a Class A misdemeanor to host or allow gatherings where teenagers are drinking.  Fines will be at least $500. It's a Class 4 felony if the underage drinking results in injury or death.              

The law goes into effect Tuesday.
