Final Tamms Supermax Inmates Moved

The Tamms Supermax prison is officially no more.

The last five inmates housed at the Illinois facility were packed up and moved today to a correctional facility in Pontiac.

Tamms, as well as other  prison facilities, are being closed as part of a plan by Governor Pat Quinn to save taxpayers $100 million per year.
