Funny tasting water is a red flag for problems

If you live in Rock Island and have noticed your water tasting funny, you're not alone.

A few weeks ago reports of smelly and strange tasting water prompted crews to investigate.

Public Works says they didn't find anything, and the water is safe to drink. But it's always a good idea to call public works if you notice something like this. Discolored or off tasting water are signs that something could be wrong.
