QCA Unemployment Sees Significant Drop

More people are finding jobs in the area.

According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security, unemployment numbers have dropped to 6.4% in the Quad Cities.

That's a full percentage point lower than this time last year, and the lowest rate since 2008.

Across Illinois, 11 of the 12 markets surveyed saw unemployment drop from this time last year.
