Water main breaks in Rock Island - CBS4 - WHBF Quad Cities, IL-IA News Weather Sports

Release from Rock Island Public Works:

Multiple watermain leaks overnight have created a massive loss of water and nearly drained the
five water towers serving the neighborhoods east of 11th Street and south of 7th Avenue.

The problem does not affect Southwest Rock Island.

Customers in the problem area will have very low water pressure until the towers can be refilled.

Repair crews are on-site.
