The QC economy is getting a $4 million boost in 2013. The Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau tells us that there are 27 new meetings, conventions and sports events planned for the cities.
Those events are on top of the annual ones we see each year that bring in about $9 million.
The CVB says any extra revenue really helps out the area's economy.
These events are expected to bring in more than 18,000 visitors.
