A new nonprofit organization could soon bring some new choices for health insurance in Illinois.
The new nonprofit called Land of Lincoln Health announced it is applying for a state license and has received a $160 million in federal loans to begin operations. The plan would be the first co-op in the state as part of President Obama's health care reform.
The insurance would be offered by 2014.
