Iowa population on the rise

More people are calling Iowa home as the states population doubles over the past year.

U.S. Census Bureau figures show Iowa's population grew by more than 10,000 people between July 1st, 2011, and July 1st, 2012

Iowa's growth is largely because the number of births outnumbered deaths and more people moving to the state from other countries.
