Towing cars abandoned during the storm now allowed

Folks in Iowa can now get their cars back, at least for now.

The Iowa State Patrol says car owners who had to abandon their vehicles during the storm over the last few days, can now get them towed on most state interstates and roads.


The patrol says arrangement should be made to safely remove cars through a licensed tow operator.

They also advise car owners to get a hold of local law enforcement to make sure towing is allowed where their car was stranded.
