The Iowa State Supreme Court said it's okay for a boss to fire an employee for being sexually irresistible.

In a seven to zero ruling, the court agreed that a Fort Dodge dentist acted within his legal rights to fire an employee that he and his wife perceived as a threat to their marriage.

Court records show the doctor did text the dental assistant about wearing too tight and revealing clothing.

"Ultimately it's not really fair to the employer and ultimately it is not really the standard.  It's whether the employee deserved it, it's whether the employee's motivations were wrong but boy does this potentially open up some problems," said Matt Reily, a Cedar Rapids attorney.

The woman denies that she ever flirted with the dentist or was looking for an intimate or sexual relationship with him.
