It's been a busy year for Red Cross agencies across the country.

This year alone the organization helped disaster relief from Super Storm Sandy and the summer wildfires out west.

In the Quad Cities, the Red Cross was there to provide relief for victims of fires and other crises.

"When someone has a house fire, that is their super storm Sandy, or Hurricane Katrina.  They've also just lost everything and they need the Red Cross' assistance," said Betsy Pratt, CEO of the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities.

The Red Cross of the Quad Cities serves eleven counties in the area, and they want to remind folks they're always looking for volunteers.
