A Davenport man will spend the next fifteen years behind bars for drug and gun charges.
Jamarlo Scales was arrested December 19, 2011 after police smelled someone smoking marijuana in an apartment. As officers were approaching the apartment three people, one of them Scales, tried to flee.
Scales jumped out a second floor window and ran. Police caught him a short time later after he threw a duffel bag at them. Inside the bag was powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and $76,000 in cash. Back at the apartment officers found marijuana and a gun.
