Henderson and Warren Counties in Illinois are reporting the following:
US 34: From Biggsville, IL in Henderson County to the Warren County Line is Closed
IL-164: From Monmouth, IL to the Warren County line is closed
US 34: From Biggsville, IL to Burlington, IA is open and clear
The Scott County Sheriff's Office is asking that drivers stay off the roads if at all possible especially on rural roads. The Sheriff's Department also says Highway 6 at 200th Street from Davenport West Bound is still closed.
Iowa State Troopers are reporting that roads are 100% snow, ice and slush covered, and travel is not advised. If you must go out; drive slow, take a warm coat, at least 1/2 tank of gas and a cell phone. Towing is only allowed by POLICE or DOT when deemed to be a hazard to the traffic driving by. The tow ban will be lifted when conditions improve and then all remaining vehicles can be towed safely.
