Durant principal to get $850,000

The Durant High School Principal and the School District have reached an agreement to settle their long time legal issues.

Monica Rouse will be paid for the rest of the year and then take early retirement worth $850,000.

Of that money, the District will pay $425,000 and an insurance company will pay $425,000.
