Although Connecticut is a thousand miles away there are ways here in the QC you can share your condolences.
Trimble Funeral Home in Moline has set up a memorial in their lobby.
Anyone is welcome to stop in, and sign a book that will be sent to Newtown.
The funeral home has made up memorial cards with the name and age of each victim for folks to take.
They're also encouraging kids to draw pictures to send along with the book. Funeral Director, Eric Trimble says it's important for kids to cope.
"Children need to express themselves and sometimes the best way they can do that is by telling a story or coloring a picture. It's a way for us to give the children a chance to express themselves to the Newtown community."
