Getting harder to become a teacher in IA

It could soon be tougher to become a teacher in Iowa.

The state will implement its new testing requirements January 2nd for people trying to get their teaching license. The rules require candidates to score in the top 75 percent nationwide.

It's all part of a law that went into effect in July, but was delayed to accommodate candidates completing student teaching in the Fall.
