Davenport police have been working non-stop on Robby Kohn's murder investigation and some new technology had cops quick on the suspects' tails.

It's the new scanners they're using in Davenport that police say made this murder investigation much easier.  Kohn's body was found in an open field at night, and a recent rain left little evidence.  With the laser scanners detectives were able to get a 3D picture of the entire crime scene.  Major Don Schaeffer said it's a huge step up.

"In fact because of the terrain there if we had to do that with the old system, the 2D, we couldn't do it."

Normally a crime scene at night would take hours to process, but not this time.  Using the scanners detectives were able to pick up on some evidence leading them to Chicago.  Investigators headed east that night and with the help of Chicago cops, 2 of the suspects were found within days.
