Water main break detours traffic

A water main break near 15th Street is forcing traffic to detour on Harrison in Davenport.

Harrison is being closed at Locust with southbound traffic being diverted to Marquette, then down to 14th before being routed back over to Harrison.

If possible drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

The break happened shortly before three when a contractor working on the new apartment building on Harrison between 14^th and 15^th Streets hit an abandoned water service line.
