Woman found in river identified

The woman found in a car in the Mississippi River yesterday morning has been identified.

The Rock Island County Coroner says that the victim is 28 year old Leah Manche of East Moline.

Manche's car was spotted around 3 A.M. in the water along the 4500 block of River Drive in Moline on Monday morning. The car and her body were later recovered by divers.

The cause of death is still under investigation, as is the cause of the accident that sent the car into the river.
