Soldiers over seas will get a special holiday greeting thanks to some Quad City kids.
Saturday, about a dozen area children at the Family Museum in Bettendorf, made holiday cards for the men and women in the Armed Forces as well as their own family members.
This is the fourth year the museum held a "make a card day." Organizers, Becky Ortner, say it's a great way for kids to give back during the holidays.
"It's a fun activity that makes them feel a part of their community because it is a way for them to touch somebody else, either grandma or grandpa or a soldier they may never meet."
Every Saturday the Bettendorf library offers events for kids to come and be creative.
