A new store opens its doors in Rock Island and it's the first of its kind.
On Friday, a small arts and crafts store called QC Collective opened up in the Shoppes on 2nd in Downtown Rock Island.
It's a new retail building, which city leaders are calling an incubator for small businesses.
Store owner Sarah Ford said she hopes to grow her business so she can eventually move into a larger building downtown.
"We are all about community so it is very inspirational to be in this space," Store owner Sarah Ford said.
City leaders said Ford's store is the first of many that will be moving into the incubator.
