Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Flags will be flown at half-staff Friday for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad said flags at the Capitol and other public buildings will be lowered from 8 am to 5 pm, and he's urging others to do the same.

It's been 71 years since the Imperial Japanese Navy dropped bombs on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii, killing more than 2 thousand people. The attack pushed the U.S. to enter WWII.
