Breaking: Police still confident bodies found are 2 Missing IA girls

In a press conference at 4pm on Thursday, Police said they have still not positively identified two bodies found Wednesday afternoon in the 7 Bridges Wildlife area in Bremer County, 25 miles North of where Elizabeth Collins and her cousin, Lyric Cook Morrissey were last seen.

However, they are still confident the bodies are that of the two Evansdale girls, even though forensic evidence has not yet positively identified the bodies.

Officers said they are confident because there is no one else missing the area and the size of the remains match that of the two missing cousins.   Officers would not say how long the bodies had been in the woods.

They also said there will be no more press conferences, and will release information as it becomes available.

Elizabeth and Lyric were last seen riding their bikes in Evansdale on July 13th.
