Ice rink still not open

The third time wasn't the charm for Center Ice, the Quad City's only public outdoor skating rink. The rink was supposed to open at noon today.

Saturday and Monday's attempts were a bust, as the ice maker was too small to keep up with unseasonably warm temps.

Today the rink was preparing to open when the Zamboni meant to smooth the ice, cracked it instead.

Organizers hope to have the rink open on Thursday at noon.
