Mother nature is making it hard for some winter sports to start up. Ski Snowstar has given up on making snow right now because everything they have made, has melted off.
The ski park was scheduled to open up this weekend, but owners, Ed Meyer says it's just not possible.
"Not only was it warm yesterday but it was windy so we were just watching the warm wind chew away at the snow we did have. We had one good night of snow making and that's it so we're just kind of waiting right now."
Meyer says that once the temperatures do drop back down they'll be working 24 hours a day at getting the hills covered with snow. They hope to reopen for the season on the 15th.
