Dixon's new finance director is trying to get the city back on track after its last comptroller stole $53 million over 2 decades.

Finance director, Paula Meyer says Dixon has seen a $3 million rebound since Rita Crundwell was arrested in April.

Meyer says the northern Illinois city's budget is still off by more than $16 million.

This after the city lost $30 million in operating funds over the last ten years.

Crundwell will be sentenced in February.
