A Davenport woman is under arrest and charged with multiple counts of stealing from elderly residents at the senior living home she worked for.

Melissa Smith faces one theft charge and 14 other charges of Dependant Adult Abuse.

Smith worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Fountains Senior Living facility in Bettendorf.  Police say while working there she stole more than $9,000 in cash and jewelry from the elderly residents in her care.

She is currently in the Scott County Jail under a $15,000 bond.  She is no longer an employee of the Fountains.
