Holiday Party for QCA Girl Scouts

Christmas is here a little early for some Quad City girl scouts.

A holiday party at Ganson's bakery in Rock Island brought together over 100 Quad City Area Girl Scouts for a night of fun.

The girls got to meet Santa and get a gift from him, decorate cookies and stockings, and get their faces painted.

Scout organizers said it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

"There's a lot of kids out there that don't get a Christmas, they don't get to open gifts, and we get to provide that through Girl Scouts and Ganson's," said Missy Sweeney of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

All the presents for the girls were donated by customers at Ganson's bakery.
