'Happy Joe' isn't your Average Joe

'Happy Joe' Witty is putting his life in writing.

The Quad City icon has written a book called 'Not your Average Joe' about his life and lessons learned throughout the years.

The book was published in honor of Happy Joe's 40th anniversary.

Happy Joe tells his story of growing up as a small town farm boy with a big dream.

"I just think you gotta carry out your dream and sometimes people will tell you it's crazy, but you get that feeling in your tummy about what you want to do and the only way to get rid of it is try to do your dream and that book will tell you a little bit about all my dreams," says ‘Happy Joe' Witty.

This year, Happy Joe's celebrated their 40th anniversary helping special needs children here in the Quad Cities.
